Position Overview:

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in the financial management of the organization, reporting directly to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present a comprehensive weekly and monthly business review that highlights essential operational metrics and performance indicators.
  • Oversee the analysis of Cost of Food and Paper, providing insights into year-over-year performance and budget comparisons.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process for Cost of Food and Paper by collaborating with external partners and internal operations to set realistic food performance targets.
  • Work alongside the Senior Director of Finance to generate a monthly forecast for Cost of Food and Paper at the company level, incorporating updates from external commodity projections.
  • Conduct a detailed monthly analysis of delivery performance through third-party providers, focusing on sales and profitability metrics.
  • Evaluate the effects of pricing strategies on overall financial performance and communicate findings to relevant teams for necessary adjustments.
  • Assist in preparing the monthly financial reporting package, including detailed analyses of year-over-year P&L performance and variance explanations.
  • Engage in ad hoc research and analysis, including assessments of local promotional performance and its financial impact.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is essential.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis or planning is required.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling is a must.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is necessary.
  • Experience with financial software and reporting tools is preferred.
