Job Overview:
Saab, Inc. Surveillance Systems is seeking a Lead Financial Analyst to become a vital part of the Business Finance team.

This role will report to the Defense Finance Manager within Surveillance Systems and will deliver comprehensive financial support for various contracts, including those with the Department of Defense, while also conducting business and indirect cost assessments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide financial oversight for assigned contracts and collaborate with program teams to monitor and predict financial outcomes.
  • Lead and implement Earned Value Management (EVM) processes, producing analyses, metrics, and reports. Conduct cost and schedule variance assessments and manage project control activities.
  • Assist in the creation and upkeep of the program budget baseline, including work authorizations and baseline change requests.
  • Forecast and monitor revenue recognition, cash flow, program expenses, and Estimates at Completion, delivering timely variance analysis.
  • Examine program contracts to ensure compliance with all clauses and Department of Defense regulations.
  • Track program receivables and identify opportunities for enhancing cash flow.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure contracts are managed within budget and timelines.
  • Lead proposal costing and pricing initiatives, including cash flow analysis and compliance review of RFP clauses.
  • Advise program team members and senior management on the financial status of programs.
  • Prepare and present both external and internal financial reports.
  • Work closely with Program Managers and Finance Manager to ensure program forecasts are accurately represented in business P&L and cash flow forecasts for annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by collaborating with the department to identify, propose, and implement enhancements for more accurate and efficient reporting.


Compensation Information:
$75,800-$94,800

The compensation range provided serves as a general guideline. When making an offer, Saab, Inc. considers various factors including the role's responsibilities, location, market conditions, and the candidate's experience, skills, and education.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • MBA Degree preferred, but not mandatory.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Financial analysis experience within the U.S. Department of Defense contracting sector.

Essential Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and graphing.
  • Expertise in Earned Value Management (EVM) concepts, systems, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and other accounting principles.
  • Experience with U.S. Government Contracting, including familiarity with FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulations.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various cross-functional teams and engage with all organizational levels.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.


Preferred Experience and Skills:
  • Familiarity with Oracle E-business Suite or other ERP systems, Cobra, and other financial management software is advantageous but not required.


Citizenship Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen.
