Job Description

OCT Consulting, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Governance Subject Matter Expert to join our team. As a key member of our acquisition team, you will provide expertise in acquisition policy, governance, and oversight to support our federal client, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Acquisition Governance & Oversight (AGO) and Acquisition Support Directorate (ASD).

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of acquisition policy and provide guidance on the acquisition process to CBP Component Acquisition Executive staff.
  • Conduct oversight and governance on all CBP Acquisition Programs, reviewing acquisition documents and plans, and developing analysis on program planning and execution.
  • Assist Government personnel with preparing correspondence, briefings to programs and senior leaders, and tracking actions.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and improve performance metrics around acquisition governance and policy.
  • Support other acquisition analysis, strategic planning, administrative or technical support as assigned by Director Acquisition Policy and Oversight.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in any related field.
  • Must have knowledge of the program management field and acquisition management.
  • Federal Acquisition Certification in Project/Program Management (FAC-P/PM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent.
  • At least 15 Years experience providing expertise in the responsibilities listed above.
  • Ability to interface with senior levels of management.
  • Ability to recommend improvements to current and future team operations and processes.
  • Ability to research, gather, and synthesize data.
  • Ability to present conclusions and recommendations to management.
  • Ability to plan / organize work.
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to assist in maintaining the Microsoft SharePoint site.
