Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tooling and GSE Supervisor to join our team at Embraer. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining all company-owned tooling and ground support equipment in our commercial MRO locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) for tooling and ground support equipment management
  • Ensure visibility and control over the entire tooling process, from storage to leasing
  • Manage the delivery of tooling to our operational teams and track performance metrics for stock outs
  • Oversee the management of tools being issued and returned
  • Develop and implement strategies for tooling delivery and cycle counting KPIs
  • Lead personnel management and development, including training, performance, and coaching opportunities
  • Monitor workload and visibility, and track output for customer satisfaction
  • Develop and implement personnel development plans, and communicate company policies and procedures to employees
  • Manage employee scheduling and rotations to support operational coverage
  • Implement lean methodology and continuous improvement strategies within all aspects of warehousing and tooling
  • Create and manage roadmaps for excellence strategies and goals
  • Develop and implement system development and implementation plans
  • Develop and control standard work and training plans
  • Manage inventory and optimize stock levels, including quarantine and bad stock monitoring
  • Ensure high levels of customer service are delivered to internal and external customers
  • Ensure tooling and ground support equipment are received and issued with quality and efficiency
  • Ensure preventative maintenance inspections are assigned and complied with on all tooling
  • Manage tool leasing process with customers and operations
Requirements
  • High School Diploma; BA or BS in Business Administration or Logistics/Supply Chain preferred
  • Minimum one-year experience in Aerospace/Manufacturing environment
  • Experience in operational, technical, and administrative management activities and processes related to aircraft tooling and ground support equipment
  • Knowledge of customer service techniques, tooling and ground support equipment techniques, lean methodology techniques, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner, adhering to all regulatory requirements
