Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Field Support Technician to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our Product Support organization, you will be responsible for performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support org.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Independently perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support org.
  2. Advise on troubleshooting, removal and installations of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, control systems and any other maintenance requirements to assure conformance to procedures, performances, and test specs on customer live in-service aircraft.
  3. Support the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical problems with the aircraft, including the ability to return an aircraft to service.
  4. Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer to relay the aircraft schedule and return to service expectations.
  5. Perform required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  6. Comply with advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
  7. Order and receive all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft. Arrange the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
  8. Coordinate with the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  9. Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip.
  10. Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  11. Follow SOPs and JSAs/JRAs when operating GSE. Operate and supervise the use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  12. Coordinate with Line Service and FBO ops to schedule movement of aircraft and assist with movement of aircraft. Arrange the overhaul or repair of customer property and inspect/operate all interior installations and record discrepancies.
  13. Provide regular updates on aircraft status and all customer support activity to Field Service Rep and management.
Requirements
  1. Formal training in the Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred, including Flight Safety Maintenance initial training for specific models required to support.
  2. Must possess a working knowledge of the company policies and procedures, Repair Station and QC Manual, pertinent process specs, and technical reference materials.
  3. Must possess a strong grasp of all aircraft avionics and mechanical systems and how they are related. Must possess the ability and understanding to comply with all system checkouts on an in-service aircraft.
  4. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
