Job Title: Field Airborne Support Tech Sr A&P

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Airborne Support Tech Sr A&P to join our team at Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. As a key member of our Product Support organization, you will be responsible for performing a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG aircraft on road trips and in the Product Support org.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. On-Call Availability: Must be available on an on-call basis, with the ability to be on site or dispatched within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream.
  2. Aircraft Maintenance: Performs required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  3. Troubleshooting: Complies with advanced troubleshooting techniques for all model aircraft with assistance from Tech Ops.
  4. Tooling and Materials: Orders and receives all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft. Arranges the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream.
  5. Quality Assurance: Coordinates with the Inspection Dept to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements. Acts as delegated Quality Representative as assigned on road trips.
  6. Customer Support: Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship with the customer and provides one-on-one direct familiarization briefings with the customer during the road trip.
  7. Equipment Management: Properly identifies (tags) customer property and equipment. Stores aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  8. Specialized Equipment: Follows SOPs and JSAs/JRAs when operating GSE. Operates and supervises use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  9. Communication: Provides regular updates on aircraft status and all customer support activity to Field Service Rep and management.
Requirements:
  1. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. 6 years combined experience in inspection, maintenance or servicing of large/mid-size aircraft to include 2 years experience on Corporate aircraft. Gulfstream aircraft experience preferred. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required. Valid Driver's License required. Other Ability to obtain a passport required.
  2. Skills and Knowledge: Formal training in the Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred. Must possess a working knowledge of the company policies and procedures, Repair Station and QC Manual, pertinent process specs, and tech reference materials. Must possess a strong grasp of all aircraft avionics and mechanical systems and how they are related. Must possess the ability and understanding to comply with all system checkouts on an in-service aircraft.
