As a well-established consulting firm with over 65 years of experience in the southwestern United States, we specialize in various fields including geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, construction materials engineering and testing, nondestructive testing, and welding inspection.

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. At Western Technologies, we offer continuous training and opportunities to acquire valuable professional experience and technical certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline, with E.I.T. or P.E. registration preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections and monitoring programs.
  • Provide expert advice on the geological suitability of construction sites.
  • Analyze ground and surface waters, soils, bedrock, and environmental impacts for land use and planning.
  • Perform mapping, field, and laboratory testing and analysis.

Experience in Construction Materials Testing:

  • Oversee soil and rock sampling.
  • Assist in analyzing soil to determine engineering characteristics.
  • Inspect development sites and review engineering plans.
  • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports.

The ideal candidate will possess a B.S. in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering, with EIT Certification. Preference will be given to those holding a P.E. license, with 0 to 5 years of relevant experience.

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and certifications.
