You will also investigate account billing inquiries, reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Oversees the verification process of billing forms, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement.
- Investigates account billing inquiries, reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy, including CPT and ICD-9 coding, physician data, insurance coverage, TOA, and other data.
- Prepares necessary documentation for account inquiry and resolution.
- Maintains a database of account inquiry information and generates reports and summaries as requested.
To succeed in this role, you will require 2-3 years of medical billing experience, with knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party reimbursement, as well as ICD-9 and CPT coding. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information are also essential.
- Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (dependent on location and experience)
