Director of Housekeeping Operations

Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Housekeeping department's operations, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure consistency and quality.
- Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of Housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Manage financial aspects of the operation, including budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and inventory controls.
- Coordinate activities with other hotel departments to enhance guest satisfaction and communication.
- Responsible for scheduling, payroll, inventory, and other departmental duties.
- Minimum 5 years' managerial experience in a luxury hotel.
- Thorough understanding of housekeeping and laundry operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse workforce with a passion for service.
- Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks, exercise good judgment, and handle stress in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous union experience is a plus.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel), Opera, and Payroll software.
