Job Title: Director of Finance and Operations

At Farmworker Justice, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance and Operations to join our team. This is a full-time, exempt position based in Washington, DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, including preparing and presenting financial reports to the Board of Directors.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring best practices and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Supervise the Finance and Operations Specialist and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to develop and implement organizational strategies and goals.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience managing financial operations in a non-profit environment.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of non-profit accounting, including fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, Board members, and external stakeholders.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary range of $105,000 - $115,000, commensurate with experience.
