The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a highly skilled Office Support Specialist to join their team. This role offers a competitive salary of $22.66 per hour, with opportunities for growth and development in a fast-paced environment.

As an Office Support Specialist, you will be responsible for administering and maintaining the Service Agency/Technician registration and licensing program. This includes ensuring access to and completion of required re-training for licensed technicians, registering new service agencies and technicians, and issuing permits/licenses. You will also maintain complaint and inspection report files, receive and review weekly work report data, and assign consumer complaints to appropriate inspectors for investigation.

This position requires excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will interact with clients, co-workers, and the public on a daily basis, providing accurate and timely assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an office environment, managing calls, processing mail, data entry, and filing (both electronic and paper). A High School Diploma/GED is required, but relevant education and training are a plus.
