Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Electric Power Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the integration of various high voltage components, including batteries, drive units, and high voltage wiring.
  • Engaging in functional safety assessments and failure prevention analyses for complex electrical and software vehicle subsystems.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to define architecture content and maintain comprehensive hardware block diagrams.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to identify user requirements and oversee the progression of these requirements from concept to production.
  • Developing and managing high voltage-related specifications while coordinating with hardware, software, architecture, safety, and other teams to ensure compliance.
  • Overseeing high voltage integration activities across all vehicle builds and serving as the primary contact for the program.
  • Creating test cases and verifying system-level functions across various platforms, including test benches, lab cars, and vehicles.
  • Facilitating cross-functional development initiatives and managing the escalation and resolution of issues.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards, particularly those related to electric vehicles.
  • Familiarity with global battery safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to working collaboratively in a dynamic environment as part of a high-performing team.
  • A systems-oriented mindset towards design and development, with a commitment to exceptional execution and continuous improvement.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant academic or industry experience in electrified vehicles, electrified powertrains, high voltage battery design, or electric vehicle charging systems.
Preferred Qualifications

Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
  • Experience leading product development from initial concept through to deployment.
  • A systems-oriented approach to design and development, with a focus on delivering exceptional results and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of global regulatory requirements for electric vehicle charging.
  • Experience in designing and assessing the safety of high voltage systems.
  • Familiarity with high voltage electronics, such as onboard chargers or DC-DC converters.
  • Experience with battery management systems.
