Job Summary

The Owens Corning Insulation Sales Development Program is a 18-24 month development opportunity designed to recruit outstanding sales talent and provide a structured program in the Technical Insulation business units. The program is coached and mentored by sales leadership, and upon successful completion, participants are placed in a sales or technical sales position based on education, preference, and business need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, develop, and create customer relationships through exceptional and reliable service, building trust with owned or shared accounts, and educating customers on products and services.
  • Achieve downstream selling and conversions by targeting and converting contractors, distributors, and downstream customers, using product knowledge to convert distribution sales, and aiding in creating marketing programs for field and customer promotions.
  • Know our customers by seeking to understand customer dynamics, taking appropriate action to meet customer needs and concerns, developing a partnering relationship with team members, customers, and influencers, and recognizing opportunities to create win-win solutions to drive sales plan goals.
  • Market and customer analysis by providing customer pricing/job quotes, analyzing market pricing and competitive scenarios, utilizing sales reporting tools to identify customer opportunities and track performance, and gathering and communicating competitive market intelligence.
  • Know our products by taking initiative to understand Owens Corning product offerings, identifying and communicating competitive threats, and demonstrating a knowledge of the building materials industry that can be leveraged across business units.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in prior experiences (work or school related).
  • Must be willing to relocate.
