Position Summary:
DISH IT Accounting and Finance is in search of a driven Senior IT Accounting & Finance Analyst. This pivotal role collaborates closely with our IT leadership to gain insights into the current business landscape and to ensure optimal decision-making. The position operates in a dynamic and often uncertain environment, making it ideal for individuals who thrive amidst change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver precise and timely financial reporting and accounting services for Dish Wireless, applying operational, accounting, and financial principles as directed by management.
  • Execute monthly closing tasks, including general journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial report preparation.
  • Foster strong interpersonal relationships with senior management.
  • Influence senior leadership through insightful financial analysis and explanations.
  • Assist in all facets of annual and monthly planning, forecasting, and reporting processes across multiple business units.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis of financial outcomes and key performance indicators to leadership, comparing current results with budgets, prior years, and forecasts.
  • Recognize the implications of unusual items that may distort the understanding of true financial performance.
  • Enhance and streamline the month-end closing process.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in Finance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance within growth-oriented companies.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient understanding of standard accounting practices, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and US GAAP.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn about complex and evolving business environments.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment, work autonomously, and meet deadlines while establishing effective working relationships.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Oracle Financials is a plus.
  • Effectively communicates ideas and collaborates with team members.

Compensation is influenced by the role's location and may change based on work location.
