We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Culinary Support Specialist. Reporting directly to the Food Service Supervisor, this position is essential in ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and organized, while also assisting in food preparation and service tasks. This is a non-exempt hourly role aimed at equipping young individuals with the skills necessary for workforce success through modeling and mentoring career standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold the core values and operational principles of Odle Management.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals and manage stockroom inventory.
  • Support food service operations, including dishwashing and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure that cleanliness and sanitation protocols are strictly followed in the kitchen environment.
  • Aid in the transfer and storage of food ingredients.
  • Comply with safety regulations and participate in training sessions.
  • Promote a respectful and safe atmosphere for both staff and students.
  • Demonstrate and instill employability skills and personal accountability.
  • Maintain safety practices and accountability in all assigned tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory, along with some training in food preparation. Preference will be given to candidates with ServSafe food safety certification and a valid driver's license. Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work flexible hours.

Additional Qualifications: Applicants must adhere to cleanliness standards and state food handling regulations. CPR/First Aid certification and proficiency in operating office equipment are required. Strong interpersonal skills and effective teamwork are crucial for success in this position.
