Position Overview
As the Executive Chef, you will be the driving force behind our culinary vision. You will lead a skilled team of culinary professionals, creating an environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement creative, seasonally-driven menus that highlight premium local and international ingredients, while reflecting the unique culinary style of Ned's Club.
- Develop iconic dishes that enhance Ned's reputation, exploring new flavor combinations and cooking methods.
- Conduct regular tastings with the culinary team to refine dishes and maintain consistency.
- Establish and uphold stringent quality control standards to ensure every dish meets exceptional standards of taste and presentation.
- Utilize strong supplier relationships to procure high-quality ingredients, prioritizing local and sustainable options.
- Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu pricing, equipment upkeep, cleanliness, inventory management, and adherence to food safety standards.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of kitchen staff, empowering team members to take ownership of their roles.
- Facilitate pre-service meetings to ensure effective communication and smooth kitchen operations.
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for your culinary team, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.
- Manage the scheduling of kitchen staff to align with budgetary expectations.
- Review inventory regularly to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Analyze sales and menu performance to identify opportunities for cost optimization and adjustments.
- Collaborate with management on strategies to maximize profitability, including pricing and waste management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end, fast-paced dining environment.
- A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences combined with advanced culinary skills and knowledge of fine dining practices.
- A commitment to sourcing seasonal, sustainable, and high-quality ingredients.
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire and develop a talented culinary team.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships with staff, suppliers, and guests.
- A dedicated work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and service in a dynamic environment.
- Possession of a Food Handler's Certificate or equivalent certification is preferred.
