Position Overview
This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage and enhance your expertise in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams comprising other I&C engineers focused on the design of innovative upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities.
  • Engage in the development of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Input/Output (I/O) Lists, Control Panel Designs, and other essential documentation.
  • Contribute to the creation of Control Narratives, Network Architectures, Cable Schedules, Location Plans, and specifications for the procurement of instrumentation and controls equipment.
  • Participate in Process Hazard Analysis and Design Reviews to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Work closely with client representatives to address inquiries related to Instrumentation and Controls design.
  • Enhance your knowledge and skills through mentoring, technical sessions, and hands-on training.
  • Travel to client and vendor locations for design reviews and site visits for construction coordination and verification of designs.
  • Advance your career through peer-learning opportunities within the company’s systems and Communities of Practice.
Work Arrangement
This position operates on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office attendance three days per week.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a solid academic foundation in analog and digital control systems.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the practical application of instrumentation and controls engineering principles and technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly MS Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and designation as an Engineer in Training.
  • Familiarity with design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans and drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and Radio Networks.
