Job Description

Overview : Responsible for executing various instrumentation and electrical tasks up to 55 Volts AC/DC with minimal oversight. Engages in the installation of pneumatic tubing, as well as electrical and electronic systems on production equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

Ensure a safe and organized workspace.

Conduct minor electrical repairs and installations independently or collaboratively. Complete and submit necessary documentation accurately and promptly. Provide on-the-job training for shop mechanics.

Install pneumatic tubing, organize tubing layouts on skids, and connect to end devices.

Fabricate support brackets and instrument racks.

Manually install wiring and cabling, including in cable trays.

Assist in modifications to panel selections and wiring configurations.

Maintain a comprehensive file of installation designs and techniques for new units, utilizing photographs and diagrams.

Test control panels and ensure connections meet compliance with 10lb pull tests.

Perform unit certification, final inspections, and document tests.

Make final electrical connections following the installation of conduits and tubing.

Additional Responsibilities : Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

All personnel are expected to adhere to Archrock's Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy, as well as local and regulatory requirements at all times.

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to:

Execute all assigned tasks effectively.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during testing phases.

Diagnose motor control systems (energized).

Interpret blueprints and the National Electrical Code (NEC).

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

Read General Adjustment and P&ID schematics.

Collaborate with suppliers of electrical components to design panel hook-ups.

Assist in mechanical assembly tasks.

Adhere to all relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Knowledge Requirements:

Moderate understanding of compression services and functionality to meet customer needs.

Familiarity with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and switchgear.

Working knowledge of end devices and system flow.

Educational and Certification Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Technical training is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

1-3 years of related experience is required.

2 years of electrical experience is necessary.

Some background in electronics is preferred.

Leadership Role:

May act as a resource for less experienced colleagues.
