Job Description

Overview : Responsible for executing a variety of instrumentation and electrical tasks, focusing on systems operating at or below 55 Volts AC/DC with minimal oversight. This role involves the installation of pneumatic tubing and electrical systems within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Ensure a safe and organized workspace.

Conduct minor electrical repairs and installations independently or collaboratively. Complete necessary documentation accurately and promptly. Provide on-the-job training for shop mechanics.

Install pneumatic tubing, arrange tubing on skids, and connect to final devices.

Fabricate supports and instrument racks as needed.

Install wires and cables manually and within cable trays.

Assist in modifications to panel selections and wiring configurations.

Maintain records of installation designs and techniques through visual documentation.

Test control panels and ensure connections meet specified pull test standards.

Perform unit certifications, final inspections, and document tests.

Make final electrical connections following the installation of conduits and tubing.

Additional Responsibilities : Undertake other tasks as assigned.

All personnel must adhere to Archrock's Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy, as well as comply with local and regulatory requirements at all times.

Skills and Competencies:

Required Abilities:

Execute all assigned responsibilities effectively.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during testing phases.

Diagnose motor control problems (energized).

Interpret blueprints and understand NEC standards.

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

Read General Adjustment and P&ID diagrams.

Collaborate with suppliers of electrical components for panel design connections.

Assist in mechanical assembly tasks.

Adhere to all relevant safety and environmental policies and procedures.

Knowledge Requirements:

Basic understanding of compression services and functionality to meet customer requirements.

Familiarity with Motor Control Centers (MCC) and switchgear.

Practical knowledge of end devices and system flow.

Education and Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Technical training is preferred.

Experience:

1-3 years of relevant experience.

2 years of electrical experience required.

Some background in electronics is beneficial.

Leadership Role:

May provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
