About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at SERG Restaurant Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality, sanitation, and customer satisfaction are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Monitor and maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and quality of dishes.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of food and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with knowledge of food preparation, presentation, and safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with attention to detail and high standards of quality.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a standing position for up to 9 hours.
  • ServSafe Certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
