Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Wexford Hilton Head. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing all food preparation and presentation for members and guests.
  • Ensure a smooth and efficient service, maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude among team members.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials, working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies, ensuring accurate record-keeping and cost control.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Clubhouse Dining Room Manager to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the General Manager, Staff, and Food & Beverage teams to discuss menu planning, inventory, and operational matters.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required by the Executive Chef.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Executive Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
