Assistant Controller for Centralized Accounting

Pyramid Global Hospitality is in search of a proficient Assistant Controller to become part of our centralized accounting division. In this capacity, you will oversee financial operations across various properties, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures while adopting best practices for superior outcomes. Your expertise will be crucial in upholding high standards in financial accounting, reporting, analysis, and planning, all while aiding in the development of our organizational talent and capacity to support our ambitious growth objectives. Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Protect assets and ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments and entities.
- Conduct thorough Consolidated Balance Sheet Reviews and Reconciliations.
- Direct and oversee the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations in accounts payable, cash disbursements, fixed asset records, and general accounting.
- Prepare monthly and weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in the development, enhancement, and timely issuance of consolidated financial records for the executive management team.
- Ensure financial strategies align with organizational objectives.
- Provide analytical tools to assess company ventures, programs, capital expenditures, and product costing.
- Collaborate with external audit firms, banks, lessors, insurance agents, credit card companies, and collection agencies.
- Support visionary, strategic, and functional leadership in finance and accounting across the organization, in line with strategic goals.
- Perform various other duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This role will supervise a team of 4-5 accountants and must proactively define roles and responsibilities, as well as evaluate, mentor, coach, and guide members of the finance teams across assigned properties. Set a positive example and serve as a motivating force around key objectives.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
No specific certifications required.
Language Skills
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Reasoning and Organizational Skills
Exhibits strong organizational skills, is detail-oriented, and has a proven track record of meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
