Assistant Controller for Centralized Accounting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: additional tasks may be assigned.
- Protect assets and ensure the accurate and timely recording of all transactions by instituting rigorous internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments and entities.
- Conduct thorough Consolidated Balance Sheet Reviews and Reconciliations.
- Direct and oversee the accuracy and efficiency of daily operations in accounts payable, cash disbursements, fixed asset records, and general accounting.
- Prepare monthly and weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Assist in the creation, enhancement, and timely distribution of consolidated financial records for the executive management team.
- Ensure that financial strategies align with organizational objectives.
- Provide analytical tools to assess company initiatives, programs, capital investments, product costing, etc.
- Liaise with external audit firms, banks, lessors, insurance agents, credit card companies, and collection agencies.
- Contribute visionary, strategic, and functional leadership for finance and accounting throughout the organization, in line with strategic goals.
- Perform various other duties as assigned to achieve company objectives.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
This role will oversee a team of 4-5 accountants and must proactively define roles and responsibilities, as well as evaluate, mentor, coach, and guide members of the finance teams across assigned properties. Set a positive example and motivate team members towards key objectives.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
REASONING / ORGANIZATION
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail, demonstrated by a history of meeting deadlines and achieving goals.
