Job Overview
The Lead Engineer will be entrusted with the comprehensive management of the design, development, and testing of innovative power conversion solutions tailored for advanced military aircraft and ground systems. This position plays a crucial role in the advancement and certification of electric power systems utilized in defense applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate and oversee system-derived and decomposed requirements.
  • Design a comprehensive Systems Engineering lifecycle strategy.
  • Identify and document Stakeholder Expectations (customer requirements).
  • Establish System-level requirements and allocate them to various architecture components (system, hardware, software).
  • Assist in the formulation of hardware and software requirements.
  • Contribute to the creation of interface control documents.
  • Support the development of verification test plans and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a Verification Cross Reference Matrix.
  • Manage requirements changes, deviations, and waivers.
  • Participate in the development and review of design documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams (systems, firmware, software, hardware, testing, and mechanical engineering).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity.
Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency in requirements development, verification, and validation of avionics power systems.
  • Familiarity with avionics electrical power systems, technical specifications, and certification standards.
  • Experience with relevant engineering tools and systems (e.g., DOORs).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and collaborate within a team environment.
  • Background in program or project leadership within an engineering context.
  • Knowledge of RTCA DO-178B/C, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A, or similar stringent development standards.
  • Understanding of MIL-STD-704, DO-160, or equivalent standards.
  • Experience in full life cycle embedded software development.
