Job Overview
The Lead Engineer will oversee the entire lifecycle of advanced power conversion systems tailored for cutting-edge military aircraft and ground vehicles. This position involves significant contributions to the design, development, and certification of electric power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive system requirements derived from stakeholder expectations.
  • Create a detailed Systems Engineering lifecycle strategy.
  • Translate customer needs into system-level requirements and distribute them across various architecture components (system, hardware, software).
  • Assist in formulating hardware and software specifications.
  • Contribute to the creation of interface control documents.
  • Support the establishment of verification test plans and procedures.
  • Maintain a Verification Cross Reference Matrix to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate modifications, deviations, and waivers in requirements.
  • Participate in the development and assessment of design documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams (systems, firmware, software, hardware, testing, and mechanical engineering).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
Preferred Attributes
  • Proven experience in the development, verification, and validation of avionics power systems.
  • Familiarity with avionics electrical power systems, technical specifications, and certification processes.
  • Experience with engineering tools and systems (e.g., DOORs).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and collaborate within a team setting.
  • Background in program or project management within an engineering context.
  • Knowledge of rigorous development standards such as RTCA DO-178B/C, DO-254, SAE ARP4754A.
  • Understanding of standards like MIL-STD-704 and DO-160.
  • Experience in full lifecycle embedded software development.
This position requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions.
