Position Overview:

This role involves a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday, 6am to 3:30pm, following a 9/80 work pattern.

We are a reputable organization that collaborates with leading defense manufacturers to deliver innovative radar, directed energy, and electronic warfare solutions for advanced military platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

The Electronics Assembler will perform basic and routine assembly tasks on electronic components, printed circuit boards, or subassemblies, adhering to military and other assembly standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Executing skilled soldering tasks on circuit cards and performing touch-ups, jumper wires, and other related operations using a microscope.
  • Hand assembly of cable assemblies, pin interfaces into connectors, and various tasks involving masking, crimping, and bonding.
  • Utilizing hand tools such as soldering irons, torque wrenches, and power tools, along with automated machinery.
  • Conducting visual inspections of completed work against specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Identifying and verifying the correct values of electronic components according to provided drawings.
  • Cross-training to handle multiple products.
  • Adhering to safety protocols as per OSHA and company policies.
  • Completing job-related training courses as required.
  • Supporting Crane Business System initiatives including 5S, KPIs, and Standard Work.

Additional Responsibilities for Electronics Focused Assemblers:

Assemblers will also engage in complex electronic assembly and soldering operations, including:

  • Handling hybrid components and performing wire bonding and ribbon attaching.
  • Preparing components for assembly, including cleaning and inspecting.

Qualifications:

Experience: 2-5 years in an assembly role within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge: Familiarity with raw materials, production processes, and quality control techniques.

Skills: Strong communication abilities, good reading comprehension, and basic computer skills.

Abilities: Accurate color vision, manual dexterity, and the ability to interpret production prints and assembly aids.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent; fine soldering certification or relevant experience preferred.
