About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead our team of Technical Program Managers in supporting AWS Global Brick and Position Delivery's data center scaling initiatives.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the networking data center build program's overall progress, anticipate risks, resolve issues, and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and processes.
  • Manage individual contributor job performance.
  • Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and negotiate trade-offs.
  • Provide regular program progress reporting.
  • End-to-end responsibility for the program's execution and success.
  • Manage multiple competing projects simultaneously.
  • Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
  • Report ad hoc, weekly, and monthly program and operating metrics.
  • Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.
