About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prefabrication Manager to join our team at DPR Construction. As a key member of our prefabrication team, you will play a critical role in advancing the use of prefabricated products, services, and means and methods throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advance Prefabrication Adoption: Work closely with regional prefabrication resources to advance the use of prefabricated products, services, and means and methods throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop Prefabrication Plans: Assist project teams in developing project prefabrication plans, including procurement, manufacturing, assembly, and execution.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Engage with regional SPW prefabrication lead, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and execution of prefabricated components.
  • Improve Prefabrication Processes: Work with the local SPW prefabrication leaders to continuously improve prefabrication processes, including throughput in the prefabrication facility.
  • Capture and Share Lessons Learned: Capture, share, and apply lessons learned from project teams to improve prefabrication processes and products.
  • Develop and Lead Prefabrication Kickoff Meetings: Develop and lead project prefabrication kickoff execution meetings to ensure successful prefabrication execution.
  • Develop Data Capture Capabilities: Develop data capture capabilities for project teams to track prefabrication progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work with Prefabrication Product Managers: Work with prefabrication product managers to assimilate existing prefabrication product research and become well-versed on top products used.
  • Build Relationships with Suppliers: Build relationships with prefabrication product suppliers across the region and capture, share, and apply nationally.
  • Capture Installations and Coordinate with RPL: Capture installations and coordinate with regional prefabrication lead for storytelling and data capture priorities.
  • Conduct Prefabrication Vendor and Site Visits: Conduct prefabrication vendor and site visits with project teams as needed.
  • Collect Information on Prefabrication Scopes: Collect information on prefabrication scopes for inclusion into historical database.
  • Collaborate with Prefabrication Products Team: Collaborate with prefabrication products team to capture digital products and store in product data management system.
  • Develop Value Stream Mapping: Develop value stream mapping of prefabrication processes, including manufacturing workflow, precon to construction workflow, and product data management.
Requirements and Attributes
  • Industry Knowledge and Technical Construction Experience: Deep industry knowledge and technical construction experience, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination.
  • Project Delivery Methods and Processes: Understanding of project delivery methods and processes associated with implementing prefabrication.
  • Scope Writing and Buy-Out Processes: Understanding of scope writing and buy-out processes.
  • Design Build/Design Assist Leadership Experience: Design build/design assist leadership experience, including IPD project knowledge.
  • Self-Starter and Proactive: Self-starter who is proactive and diligent, follows through on commitments.
  • Commitment to Prefabrication and Construction Industry Advancement: Commitment to and passion for prefabrication and construction industry advancement.
  • Good Communication and Collaboration Skills: Good at listening to and learning from other industry experts and provides regular and thorough communication.
