Business Development Specialist

Job Summary:
The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving business growth and expanding our lines of service and levels of care. This role involves developing and retaining referrals from professional sources, representing our facility to the public, and hosting community outreach events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development programs to grow our reputation among professional referrals.
- Maintain a schedule of primary sources, including business, industry, EAPs, managed care organizations, and healthcare professionals.
- Document all contacts in our CRM system and maintain current account information and business development referral/admission records and statistics.
- Develop and maintain new account relationships and markets, targeting highly competitive areas and increasing business through strategic planning.
- Represent our facility at civic and professional functions, communicating our mission and values to the public and referral sources.
- Manage leads from referral sources and ensure efficient admissions processes for clients.
- Collaborate with our admissions department, discharge planners, social workers, case managers, physicians, and management to generate referral sources.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare business development/marketing environment is essential.
- Good understanding of the local market and referral base.
- Organized and able to multitask, with well-developed relational skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
