POSITION SUMMARY AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Eberly College of Science Office of Diversity and Inclusion is looking to hire two Academic Support Facilitators (ASFs) for the summer program aimed at enhancing representation in science for undergraduate prehealth students. ASFs are undergraduate students, primarily from mathematics and science disciplines, who will enhance learning in dynamic classroom settings. This program offers ASF roles to undergraduates eager to collaborate in instructional teams and share their passion for chemistry. Academic Support Facilitators will lead small-group activities during class and serve as mentors to fellow students.

Essential Qualifications:

- Must maintain good academic standing and be enrolled in the Eberly College of Science or the College of Agricultural Sciences.

- Completion of SC 220 - Principles and Strategies for Effective STEM Learning is required.

- Previous experience as an ASF for chemistry is preferred.

- Availability for a minimum of six hours per week, including in-person sessions Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:

In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Penn State publishes an Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). This report includes crime statistics and institutional policies regarding campus security, including alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, crime reporting, sexual assault, and other related matters. The ASR is available for review.
