The Eberly College of Science Office of Diversity and Inclusion is looking to recruit two Academic Support Facilitators (ASFs) for an enriching summer program designed for undergraduate prehealth students. ASFs are undergraduate students, primarily from mathematics and scientific disciplines, who will enhance the learning experience in engaging classroom settings. This summer initiative offers ASFs the chance to be part of a collaborative teaching team and to share their passion for chemistry. Academic Support Facilitators will guide in-class small-group activities and serve as mentors for participants.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must maintain good academic standing and be enrolled in the Eberly College of Science or the College of Agricultural Sciences.
- Completion of SC 220 - Principles and Strategies for Effective STEM Learning is required.
- Previous experience as an ASF for chemistry is necessary.
- Availability for a minimum of six hours per week, including in-person attendance Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS:
In accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, Penn State publishes an Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those related to alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters. The ASR is available for review.
