Human Resources Specialist

As a Human Resources Representative, you'll play a critical role in supporting our Arlington, Virginia office and contributing to our mission of making a positive impact on the world.
Key Responsibilities:- HRIS Management: Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee records and data in our HR Information System, maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
- Employee Lifecycle:
- Onboarding: Coordinate and conduct new hire onboarding, including completion of new hire paperwork and verification of I-9 documentation.
- Recruitment: Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings and onboarding.
- Offboarding: Coordinate and conduct offboarding and processing of terminations.
- Training and Development: Assist in organizing training sessions and workshops for employees on topics such as Unconscious Bias, Feedback, People Styles, and more.
- HR Projects: Participate in various HR special projects aimed at improving employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel or similar programs
- Basic understanding of business activities
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
