Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Specialist to join our team at the Department of the Air Force. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to support the effective management of human capital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to support the effective management of human capital
  • Provide expert analysis and recommendations to senior leaders on human capital management issues
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address human capital management challenges
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws, regulations, and policies affecting human capital management
Requirements
  • At least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-14, or equivalent in other pay systems
  • Expert knowledge of Air Force, other military services, and OSD standards and program objectives
  • Ability to apply knowledge of existing policies, practices, regulations, and laws in support of Agile Combat Support, national warfighting objectives, and peacetime operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience working in a human resources or personnel management role
  • Knowledge of the legislative process and engagements with congressional members and their staffs
  • Ability to articulate policy positions to congressional staff members, DOD, and Air Force senior leaders
