Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team at Murata Machinery USA Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and revenue in the Automation and Logistics division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet and exceed sales targets through direct sales activities, including consultative and strategic selling principles.
  • Identify, define, and work with clients' decision-making networks to drive sales growth.
  • Review and analyze customer RFPs, surveys, and economic justifications to inform sales strategies.
  • Document sales activities, interactions, and customer projects using our CRM tracking and documentation package.
  • Visit key customer accounts to maintain existing customer relationships and expand new business opportunities.
  • Generate information for company management on competitive activity and product development issues.
  • Participate in key account negotiations and critical commercial situations in the region.
  • Evaluate and recommend new business opportunities to company management.
  • Assist and coordinate with Aftermarket Services and Finance to maintain good customer relations and image.
  • Participate in Marketing Communications by participating in trade shows, presentations, and technical seminars and associations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience selling into the Services, Manufacturing, or Industrial product industries or combination of education and capital equipment sales experience.
  • Preference will be given to experience related to material handling systems, including AS/RS, AGVS, floor or ceiling mounted monorail systems, and conveyor systems.
  • Demonstrated product and customer management relationship experience, strong analytical ability in the marketing and customer management areas, and general business and technical aptitude.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM tools.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative with the ability to research potential sales prospects and effectively close the sale.
  • Committed sales professional with excellent time-management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
Travel Requirements

This position requires up to 60% travel, including domestic and international travel. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
