Position Overview:
The East Ohio Gas Company is seeking a Junior Financial Analyst to assist in the formulation and upkeep of the organization's financial plans and projections. In this role, you will contribute to the assessment, revision, and dissemination of operational and capital expenditure reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the creation of financial plans, updates to forecasts, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Evaluate financial and operational metrics to provide forecasting assistance.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gain insights into operational activities and convert them into precise financial forecasts.
  • Support the establishment and tracking of financial objectives for business units.
  • Aid in departmental initiatives to address ad hoc inquiries.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A relevant Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of applicable experience.
    • Preferred fields of study include Accounting, Business, or Finance.
  • Understanding of financial management principles and analytical techniques.
  • Familiarity with the utility sector or related industries.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and practices.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in project analysis and financial planning.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint applications.

  • Detail-oriented and focused on customer needs.
Work Environment:
  • Minimal domestic travel (0-10%).
  • Office-based work environment (90-100%).

Physical Demands:
