Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in providing financial insights and support to the Consumer Brands Group within the Commercial Business Unit (CBU). This position is integral to the month-end closing process, encompassing tasks such as month-end reporting, profit and loss (P&L) assessments, and balance sheet evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the Commercial sales team to deliver comprehensive business and financial support through the following activities:
  • Develop, assess, and interpret proformas and financial outcomes, while guiding actions to enhance profitability for the unit.
  • Evaluate and convey the profitability implications of sales decisions.
  • Ensure that accruals are accurately recorded in line with contractual agreements and appropriately reflected on the balance sheet, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Address financial discrepancies and issues within the business unit to maintain an accurate P&L.
  • Provide variance reports compared to forecasts, plans, and previous year results.
  • Verify compliance with customer programs and agreements.
  • Support business operations by generating tailored sales reports.
  • Manage the internal pricing list, ensuring timely updates.
  • Assist the Commercial Business Units in formulating consistent, precise, and feasible budgets, operating plans, forecasts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Offer financial assistance to sales and marketing team members.
  • Coordinate quarterly P&L reviews.
  • Engage in special projects as required.

Qualifications:
Education:
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Preferred: MBA.

Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of 3 years in Financial or Accounting roles.
  • Preferred: Over 3 years of progressive experience in Finance or Accounting, with a focus on complex financial analysis and a solid understanding of accounting practices. Experience in a project-based environment and prior exposure to sales organizations is advantageous.

Technical Skills:
  • Required: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Oracle OneStream, non-Oracle Business Intelligence tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, Business Objects), and legacy reporting systems (e.g., OnBase).
