Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Copyright Registration Coordinator to join our team at Della Infotech. The successful candidate will be responsible for examining and registering audio and audio-visual products with the U.S. Copyright Office, reviewing artist and license agreements, and searching internal databases to identify pre-existing copyrighted works.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine and register audio and audio-visual products with the U.S. Copyright Office
  • Review artist and license agreements to determine copyright ownership and registration responsibility
  • Search internal databases to identify pre-existing copyrighted works
  • Research and report copyright notice discrepancies to the Associate Director and record label contacts
  • Create copyright memos with notes for each release
  • Handle registration application questions from the U.S. Copyright Office
  • Follow up with the U.S. Copyright Office regarding copyright certificate status
  • Provide copyright registration information and copies of certificates for internal requests
  • Enter, catalogue, and inventory copyright registration certificates received back from the U.S. Copyright Office

Requirements:
  • Paralegal and/or legal support staff experience
  • Interest in and basic understanding of U.S. copyright law and the copyright registration process
  • Experience in reading and interpreting recording/music agreements and contracts
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • College degree preferred

Working Hours:
8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
