Job Description

The Radiology Scheduler at Classic Westchester is a vital role that requires exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Medical Scheduler.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule radiology procedures in an efficient and organized manner, ensuring seamless patient flow and maximum schedule utilization.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, physicians, medical offices, and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Perform insurance verifications and authorizations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and questions in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including demographic information and scheduling details.
  • Cross-train and assist in other departments as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the medical field preferred, but not necessary.
  • One to four years of related experience, with a focus on scheduling and customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of imaging procedures, medical terminology, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and medical software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
