Radiology Scheduler Call Center Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Scheduler to join our team at Optum. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling radiology procedures in an organized and efficient manner, working with patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and excellent customer service.

As a Radiology Scheduler, you will play a vital role in supporting the vision and mission of Optum, delivering excellent customer service, and adhering to Lean processes.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Intermediate-level computer proficiency is also required, with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Responsibilities- Obtain accurate and updated patient information, including name, address, insurance details, and medical records
- Perform insurance verification on the date of service and schedule radiology procedures efficiently
- File and maintain medical records, confirming appointments, and answering incoming/outgoing calls
- Provide effective communication to patients, families, and healthcare professionals through documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluations
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or higher
- 1+ years of customer service or healthcare-related experience
- Intermediate-level computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working with electronic health records (Epic)
- Knowledge of radiology and medical terminology
- 1+ years of experience in a call center or medical front office position

This role is based in Mount Kisco, NY, and offers a competitive salary range of $16.00 - $28.27 per hour, depending on experience.
