About the Role

This position requires identifying anatomical orientation on all required images and ensuring proper file identification on all images.

You will work with state-of-the-art technology and collaborate with brilliant co-workers who share your passion for helping people feel their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates competency performing all diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operating all related equipment.
  • Greet patients, obtain history, and enter information in the computer system.
  • Scans according to guidelines.
  • Maintains logs; processes paperwork for biopsies.
  • Utilizes sterile techniques to prevent contamination.
  • Maintains quality standards as it relates to HIPAA regulations.
  • Responsible for all clinical aspects of ultrasonography suite; maintains cleanliness of examination rooms. Stocks necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
  • Assists in the completion of the accreditation process for the American College of Radiology (ACR) every three years.
  • Maintains CPR certification.
  • Observes patient vital signs during examinations.
  • Provides coverage as needed (i.e., in the event of call-outs or extended patient schedules).
  • Provides instruction/mentoring to new hires.
  • Provides a positive patient experience; shares information with patients, providing knowledge about the procedure; ensures they are aware of follow-up steps and requirements.
  • Maintains communication with radiologists and other physicians, patients, and their families, and other persons.
  • Consistently submits images of diagnostic quality without recommendation of additional image acquisition; performs quality assurance on images and equipment; demonstrates competency in utilizing systems.
  • Contributes to efficient out-patient operations, maximizing the productivity of assigned modality.
  • Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examinations to radiologists, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of patients following the procedure.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited course in ultrasonography.
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification.

New York Residents Only: The estimated salary for this role is $46,150 per year, based on 40 hours per week, which translates to approximately $28.03 to $54.95 per hour.
