Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, patient-focused, and detail-oriented Radiology Scheduler Call Center professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling radiology procedures in an organized and efficient manner while providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain accurate and updated patient information, including name, address, and insurance details
  • Perform insurance verification on the date of service
  • Schedule radiology procedures in an organized and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of medical terminology and radiology procedures and requirements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Confirm and schedule appointments
  • Respond to incoming and outgoing telephone calls promptly and courteously
  • Perform referral documentation efficiently
  • Provide follow-up services for patients in a prompt and courteous manner, such as scheduling specialist appointments and obtaining copies of lab results or specialist reports
  • Achieve specific team goals by working cohesively with fellow employees
  • Stay informed about current medical requirements relevant to your position, adhering to HIPAA and OSHA regulations
  • Demonstrate comfort in a high-pressure environment
  • Contribute to planning, coordinating, and implementing care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team according to the Plan of Care
  • Ensure continuity of care through scheduling and tracking systems
  • Effectively communicate with patient/family team members and other healthcare professionals as evidenced by documentation, case conferences, communication notes, and evaluations
  • Adhere to administrative policies to ensure quality of care
  • Show precision and efficiency in scanning documents and monitoring the fax server
  • Be willing to cross-train and assist in other locations when needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service or Healthcare-related experience
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-task through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with an electronic health record (EPIC)
  • Knowledge of Radiology
  • Knowledge of Medical terms
  • 1+ years of experience in a call center
  • Experience working with scheduling programs
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical front office position performing duties such as scheduling appointments, checking patients in/out, insurance verification, collecting co-pays, maintaining medical records
