Job Summary

Garver is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Transportation Team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with municipal, highway, and other clients to prepare hydrologic and hydraulic reports, studies, and designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) models for streams, rivers, drainage systems, and other storm water conveyance features
  • Prepare reports, studies, and designs related to hydrologic and hydraulic analysis
  • Work with senior H&H managers to enhance modeling skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplined team to execute project deliverables for clients
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program
  • Course work emphasis in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineering
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office software
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed as an Engineer in Training (EI), or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis software, especially HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on hydrology and hydraulics projects
  • Experience with CAD design software such as MicroStation
  • Experience with ESRI Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software
  • Master's degree in engineering with emphasis in water resources engineering
  • Experience with two-dimensional hydraulic modeling software
