Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized technical support for x86 computer hardware, including servers, GPUs, and networking devices.
- Diagnose and resolve challenges concerning server efficiency, hardware malfunctions, and network issues.
- Assist clients with Infiniband and switch setup and configurations.
- Guide customers through the implementation and management of clusters.
- Oversee and troubleshoot Linux systems and configurations.
- Develop and utilize scripts to address issues and assist clients in debugging.
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve intricate technical challenges.
- Accurately document customer interactions and technical resolutions in the support database.
- Continuously enhance knowledge base articles to reflect new solutions and best practices.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing prompt and effective support.
- Travel to client locations for deployment or troubleshooting as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in a technical support or engineering capacity, ideally within the IT hardware sector.
- Strong understanding of x86 hardware architecture and server components.
- Experience with GPU setups and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Infiniband technology and switch management.
- Solid grasp of network switch and router configurations.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Linux systems.
- Strong scripting abilities (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and debugging tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are advantageous.
- Experience with rack-level integration or testing.
- Experience in data center deployment or collaboration with data centers.
- Able to lift servers weighing up to 40 lbs.
