Under the general supervision of the Solution Desk Manager, the IT Asset Management Coordinator delivers direct technical expertise, support, and oversight of the IT department's systems. This position is accountable for the management and upkeep of our organization's IT resources, encompassing hardware, software, licenses, and other technology-related assets. The role necessitates a meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments to ensure proficient asset management. The coordinator will actively oversee these systems while ensuring optimal operational readiness and lifecycle value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Inventory Oversight:
    • Maintain precise records of IT resources, including acquisition, deployment, utilization, and retirement.
    • Monitor hardware and software assets across diverse locations.
    • Regularly refresh the asset management database.
  • Compliance and Licensing Management:
    • Guarantee adherence to software licensing agreements and IT policies.
    • Conduct periodic audits to confirm the accuracy of asset records and compliance.
    • Administer software renewals and support contracts.
  • Procurement and Implementation:
    • Assist in the acquisition of IT resources, including vendor negotiations.
    • Coordinate the rollout and installation of new hardware and software.
    • Collaborate with IT support teams to manage asset requests and deployments.
  • Lifecycle Management:
    • Develop and execute procedures for asset lifecycle management, covering acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
    • Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities for optimization and cost efficiency.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Generate regular reports on asset inventory, utilization, and compliance.
    • Document processes, procedures, and guidelines related to IT asset management.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of asset configuration, maintenance activities, and asset history.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Work closely with IT support, procurement, finance, and other departments to ensure effective asset management.
    • Provide training and support to staff on asset management processes and tools.
  • Environmental Management:
    • Familiarize with the fundamentals of the Client's Environmental Management System & Environmental Policy.
    • Implement Best Management & Good Housekeeping Practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT asset management or a similar capacity.
  • Strong comprehension of IT hardware and software resources.
