Position Summary

In the role of Area Manager, you will be responsible for managing all daily operational functions related to AvantStay properties within your assigned region. This position involves collaborating with maintenance, housekeeping, and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery. While this role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities, it requires strong leadership skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines to fulfill guest expectations.

It is essential that candidates reside within a reasonable distance from the properties in the designated area.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Acting as the primary liaison to foster and maintain relationships with AvantStay property owners through effective communication, reviewing distribution statements, and keeping updated on property statuses.
  • Overseeing the resolution of guest and homeowner issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory solutions while monitoring the quality of these resolutions.
  • Maintaining AvantStay's standards and metrics for owner satisfaction.
  • Coordinating housekeeping and routine maintenance tasks, including linen changes, furniture adjustments, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Collaborating with various teams to assess maintenance, groundskeeping, and housekeeping operations across properties in the selected market.
  • Executing essential administrative tasks to support daily operations and delegating responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensuring adequate inventory levels of consumables and linens for properties in the designated area.
  • Conducting regular property inspections to verify compliance with AvantStay standards.
  • Addressing guest and homeowner inquiries promptly through various communication channels.
  • Traveling frequently to different properties within the assigned area to oversee operations and ensure adherence to standards.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in property management, preferably with multi-site operations and experience working with decentralized teams.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Background in Hospitality and/or Real Estate; an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation is advantageous.
  • A reliable vehicle suitable for winter conditions and a valid driver's license.
  • Residence within the designated area is mandatory.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and maintain a flexible schedule to meet business needs.
  • Ability to spend significant time standing, walking, and driving to various properties.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks such as bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and occasionally lifting over 25 lbs.
  • Strong self-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
