Business Development Lead - International Development

USMax is seeking a seasoned Business Development Lead to spearhead efforts in identifying, qualifying, and securing new business opportunities with key government agencies, including the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department of State (DOS), and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive growth and revenue
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry partners, and potential clients
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities and trends
  • Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and other business development materials to secure new business
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the government contracting industry
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining a business development pipeline and securing new business
  • Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and procedures
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Work Environment:

USMax is a dynamic and growing company with a hybrid work schedule (2 days in office, 3 days remote). The ideal candidate will be based in Fairfax, Virginia and will be required to travel as needed.
