POSITION SUMMARY:

The role of the Program Support Coordinator is a vital position that demands self-motivation, initiative, and independent decision-making capabilities. This individual will be cross-trained and prepared to undertake Home Coordinator responsibilities across all residential facilities managed by Woodhaven Learning Center, as well as assist with Program Management tasks as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Program Support Coordinator will oversee staff, coordinate client medical care, and manage emergency procedures within the home environment. Ensuring that Individual Plans (IP's) are executed effectively and that daily operations align with the certification standards set forth by the Department of Mental Health and CARF accreditation is essential.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory, while a degree in human services or supervisory experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Successful completion of an initial orientation, including CPR, First Aid, Positive Behavior Interventions, and other relevant training, is required. A valid chauffeur's license must be obtained within the first two weeks of employment, with adherence to acceptable driving standards.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, their families, and team members. The position also necessitates completion of the Management Training Curriculum course. All Home Coordinators with felony convictions listed on the disqualification registry will be removed from payroll unless an exception is approved.

  • Weekend coverage with one guaranteed weekend off per month.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position involves sedentary work requiring the ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently. The role requires manual dexterity, vocal communication, and visual acuity for tasks such as preparing and analyzing written or computer data. The worker is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions, although some homes may require lifting as specified.
