ROLE OVERVIEW

The Luxury Beauty Consultant (LBC) plays a pivotal role in driving sales within the luxury segment (cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances) by engaging with customers to identify their unique preferences and guiding them in selecting and purchasing high-end products, all while adhering to company standards and protocols. This role supports the Sales Manager by focusing on performance metrics (service and retail sales, in-store events), fostering a positive culture (guest relations and team dynamics), and ensuring compliance with operational procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The LBC embodies Ulta Beauty's mission and values, consistently demonstrating them through the following duties:

Sales Performance

Actively contribute to achieving or surpassing store objectives related to retail and service sales, customer loyalty, and omni-channel sales, with a specific emphasis on luxury brands. Ensure every customer enjoys exceptional service by creating a welcoming environment, greeting and engaging each guest, personalizing their experience, recommending complementary products, and informing them of current promotions and events. Handle transactions, returns, and exchanges with courtesy and professionalism. Conduct makeup applications, skincare consultations, and product demonstrations to enhance the customer experience and drive sales. Schedule appointments and assist in executing services and in-store events that provide an unparalleled customer experience while meeting luxury sales targets. Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better assist customers. Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.

Team Collaboration

Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports colleagues and guests alike. Work collaboratively with management and team members to drive business growth. Engage in ongoing training, including product knowledge and brand education, to enhance professional development and boost luxury sales performance.

Operational Excellence

Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and procedures. Adhere to the company's dress code. Maintain the luxury product area, ensuring it is well-stocked, organized, and compliant with hygiene standards. Uphold exceptional operational standards, including cleanliness throughout the store. Participate in merchandising resets, inventory processes, and shipment handling using Ulta Beauty's systems. Promote the benefits of the customer loyalty program. Follow loss prevention best practices to protect company assets. Execute additional operational tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

High school diploma preferred. Cosmetology or esthetician license as required by state regulations.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.

Skills

Demonstrated passion and proficiency in luxury products, customer service, and sales. Ability to cultivate and maintain strong customer relationships. Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Excellent communication skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends. Attendance at corporate meetings and events may be required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent movement throughout the store. Regular standing, bending, and reaching during shifts. Ability to lift and move items up to 10 lbs. as needed. Continuous coordination and manipulation of products during shifts.
