Position Overview:
As the Deputy Lead for the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE) Systems Engineering and Integration (SEI) within the Science and Space Technology Systems Branch, you will play a pivotal role in steering a large, multi-Center team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical guidance, insights, and oversight of the systems engineering efforts essential for the successful development and delivery of the PPE spacecraft by the prime contractor.

Key Responsibilities:
To qualify for this position, candidates must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level, which includes:

  • Offering expert knowledge in the application of systems engineering methodologies and tools pertinent to aerospace initiatives;
  • Facilitating collaboration across diverse teams while providing strategic advice and direction on systems engineering practices;
  • Formulating the concept of operations, system architecture, requirements, integration, as well as verification and validation processes for space flight systems.
