Position Overview:
The Power Systems Electrical Engineer is tasked with conducting electrical power systems evaluations and analyses for both industrial and utility sectors.

Employing recognized industry analysis tools (such as ETAP and SKM), the ideal candidate will showcase their capability to formulate study scenarios, interpret findings, and produce comprehensive written documentation.

A solid foundational knowledge of industrial and utility power systems, along with calculation methodologies, is essential.

The Power Systems Electrical Engineer will collaborate with clients and other Nexus team members to develop studies that encompass: System Short Circuit Evaluations, Relay Coordination Assessments, Load Flow Studies, Power System Harmonics Evaluations, Motor Starting Assessments, Arc Flash Risk Assessments, and Relay Setting File Development & Review. This role reports to the Senior Electrical Engineer or Engineering Discipline Manager.

All technical outputs will be reviewed by senior management prior to client presentations.

This role may involve occasional travel (2-3 times annually) for up to one week to collect data at client sites alongside other Nexus team members.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in ETAP is essential.
  • Familiarity with additional systems analysis software like SKM is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems evaluations.
  • Strong command of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time role with standard working hours from Monday to Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be necessary based on job responsibilities.
